Happy Cinco de Mayo and Happy Birthday to my husband! Today Forbes is 30. And this is a big deal! Birthdays in general are a big deal in our house, but any that end in 5 or 0 are especially important. For Forbes' 30th we are planning a really fun weekend. Therefore today is a little more low-key. Plus we are still in full party-prep mode and that doesn't leave much time for celebrating.
Despite our weekend plans and the ongoing preparations I have managed to salvage a pretty sweet birthday for Forbes. Our morning began with coffee and bagels from our favorite shop in town, followed by a trip to the Verizon store to get him a birthday present. He loves his new iPhone! Forbes had to work for a few hours today but now we are preparing for a fun Mexican dinner out. Originally I planned to cook enchiladas and enjoy dinner at home. However, I have been in the kitchen all day and I am ready for a break.
