Smiling Monday

Good morning Tampa!  Oh, wow, I am so blessed to be here and I just enjoy mornings like this one!  I said goodbye to my family yesterday and put on my Girls on the Run "hat."
My cousins Tiff, Jacob, Becca, Jeremiah, Christina, Tim and Tab...and that's only just a few of them.  I have no idea what the final count would be, but I am guessing upwards of 50 cousins on my mom's side of the family.  When I was younger I took this large and fun family forgranted.  Now, as an adult, I recognize how unique our family is, how I have family everywhere, and it is such a blessing.  I suppose the thanks goes to my dear grandma who birthed 11 children!  Who all had several of their own!  And who are all now having several of their own!

After my family left and my fellow GOTR women arrived, we checked in and checked out the vendor fair.  Followed by a lovely cocktail reception on the rooftop.
The tasting plates were delicious!
And the hour also included a glass of wine and many passed appetizers.

Following our reception we retreated to the lobby bar where Angie and Michelle and I choose coffee over wine and a Lunabar for dessert.
After this post, I promise to bring you more happenings other than just food...but since we are on that kick, let me show you my delicious, yet overpriced breakfast...
A cup of oatmeal and plate of fruit!
At least the toppings bar was spectacular!  I topped my oatmeal with an island flair: almonds, coconut and pineapple.  At the last minute I also grabbed a dollop of the blueberry compote and I did not regret the decision!

Now that I am properly fueled with brain food, I am ready to start learning!  I can't wait for the fabulous speakers and teachers we are about to encounter!

I hope your Monday is as great as this one...but if you can't be in sunny Florida, surrounded by fabulous, strong and confident women, with amazing teachers and leaders...well make it a positive day anyway...and smile just a little more than usual.  I promise it can turn your day around!
