Week in Review

While I am not running any marathons or attending any Foodbuzz Festivals like many of my blog friends, I am still having an amazing weekend right here at home!  So much good stuff and hardly enough room/time to talk about it all!  Forbes and I have started celebrating our anniversary early with a date night on Friday and gift exchanges.

Yesterday I attended a baby shower for my dear friend Elizabeth and then hung out with tons of friends last night at Horsefeathers.

And today is going to be just as wonderful with church and then dinner with even more friends!

But before we jump too far ahead, let's look back at the week that was...

Fitness:

Sunday- Rest
Monday- Total Body
Tuesday- Rest (short walk)
Wednesday- intervals (treadmill)
Thursday- Pilates
Friday- Rest
Saturday- 6 mile run

Slowly but surely I am getting back in there.  There are still quite a few rest days mixed in, but I am pushing myself through my workouts once again.

Faith:

God is my strength and refuge.  An ever present help in trouble.  (Psalm 46)

This week we studied Fear in my small group and its message really struck home with Forbes and I and the many decisions we are facing.

Food:
The Butternut Squash Soup I made for Monday's Halloween Party is one of my favorite all time recipes!

In case you haven't seen yet, check out the Food page for great ideas for your Vegan Thanksgiving Table.

Friends:

I am anxiously awaiting Foodie Fresh's marathon recap.  When I first "ran into Foodie Fresh" (aka found her blog) we were both training for our first marathons.  Now, not even a year later, she has finished and PRd at her second marathon and I can't wait to read all about it!

I loved dressing up for Halloween!

Future:

This week I want to continue with 4-5 workouts with 2-3 active rest days.
I also want reign in my spending with less lunches and coffees!
And I want to enjoy my husband and celebrating our 3rd Anniversary together!
...and I also need to start making final plans for the Turkey Trot!  It's coming so soon!
