Happy Tuesday! It is a happy day over here. We are celebrating because after today, Forbes is off work until next Monday! Oh Happy Day!
Of course in the next several days I will be putting him to work plenty on Turkey Trot duties! We are directing the Christian Mission's Turkey Trot 5k on Thanksgiving morning and already we have twice as many registrants as I expected. We couldn't be more thrilled, however, each time another registration comes through my inbox, my stomach does a tiny little lurch! I am overwhelmed, in a very good way. I am just so thrilled so many will be supporting the Christian Mission and running the 5k!
Last night Forbes and I got to spend an evening together. We seem to be hopping from one thing to the next so frequently these days, that dinners alone together at home are so rare. We made an old favorite with a new-to-us salad. This Corn and Edamame Salad is from Veganomicon. The Asian inspired dressing is succulent and I couldn't stop shoveling it into my mouth. The Vegan Loaf was as good as always!
Question of the day: As a race director I am always looking for ways to improve our races. What makes a great race? What do you expect when you register for a race?
