Fourth of July

Eleanor has enough Independence Day themed outfits to last her all month!  We have been using up as many of them as we can this week.
She is such a stylish gal!  Love her and that fabulous smile.

To kick off July 4th Alex and I just ran 4 miles in the muggiest weather possible.  We intended to go out early this morning but a giant ran storm hit just as we were rolling out of bed.  Instead, we waited until the middle of the day, in the heat of the afternoon sun and ran a greenway where the evaporating water from the sidewalks made it even more humid.  How we made it 4 miles is beyond me!  I'm impressed.

The rest of our day involves a BBQ with friends.  We spent Eleanor's morning nap chopping up veggies for three different salads and baking off chocolate chip cookies.  We also cleaned the house and hats off to Alex who not only cleaned all three bathrooms but also mowed the lawn, ran four miles with me and helped me in the kitchen.  Whew!  I'm exhausted just thinking about his day!  And it isn't even three in the afternoon.

I'm off to the market for a watermelon and then some beer for the party.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!
