Fall Favorites

Once upon a time I had a tremendous passion for cooking.  I loved to create and explore in the kitchen and then photograph my creations and post them for the world to see.  That was a long, long time ago.

Thankfully, over the last few weeks, I have been interested in cooking again.  Although, my desire to create my own recipes and photograph them is still buried deep inside of me.  Furthermore, blogging about the food I eat doesn't seem to appeal to me much either.

This week, I was inspired to blog about a big project Alex and I have taken on...tackling our grocery budget.  In the coming days I will post all about our new strategies for sticking to our budget and part of that is meal planning.  I am excited to share what we have been cooking lately, even if they are not my own recipes.

In the meantime, I wanted to flashback to the olden days of yesteryear and reminisce about some of my finest Fall creations.  I attribute my changed attitude toward cooking to the cooler temps and delicious fall comfort foods so I just had to share some of my favorites with you (I promise they won't be all pumpkin based--just most of them!):

Of course we have to start with a Fall staple: soups!

You can't go wrong with a good chili recipe and I love this Spicy Pumpkin version. (Here we go with the pumpkin already!)
Even better than my favorite chili is this Coconut Ginger Carrot Soup.  This one might be Alex's favorite as well!
For a classic, try this Not-Chicken Noodle Soup to comfort you on a chili day!
Every soup needs a good accompaniment and these Easy Pumpkin Biscuits are perfect for the job.
While dinner is great, I am always looking for ways to spice up my breakfast.  Try these Pumpkin Pancakes for a relaxing Saturday morning.
And for a real treat, these Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls will fit the bill.  They take some time, but are well worth it!
*all recipes posted on this blog are vegan

Try those for a start this Fall!
