Ya'll gotta see this!

Do you know what 500 people look like altogether, running a 5k?  Even though I witnessed the event in person, I was a bit distracted and never realized just how many people came out to support the mission on Thanksgiving morning!

This video gives a little background about the Mooresville Christian Mission and if you watch the start line take off...you can see just how many folks came out!

(Susan, if you look at the 3-minute mark you will see Mia finishing the race!)

Since we are talking about Thanksgiving again, and I failed to share with you before...here is the delicious dinner Forbes and I enjoyed with his mom and step-dad.
I brought Oh She Glows' Cranberry, Apricot and Pecan Rice Pilaf.  It is delicious and we have made this dish several times over the last few weeks.

Forbes' mom prepared the Roasted Butternut Squash and Apple recipe (delicious!), as well as those gorgeous Brussels Sprouts, vegan mashed potatoes and a Field Roast loaf (same as the one we had last year.)  Unpictured was the cranberry sauce straight from the can...just the way Forbes loves it!

For dessert I prepared another recipe from Oh She Glows.  The Pumpkin Pie Brownie didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped however.  Oh well, you win some you lose some.  The Coconut Milk Ice cream was plenty for dessert accompanied with a little fruit.
I know I am exactly one week late on this post...but I hope you don't mind!

Tonight, I'm looking forward to a really fun evening with great friends and perhaps even a blogger meet-up!  Can't wait to see you Brittany!
