Drum Roll Please...
Forbes and I commissioned this piece from a friend at church. We brought her a photo of a bird that we snapped while on safari. We thought this painting would be the perfect way to commemorate our exceptional experience in Africa.
It beautifully fits into our home and our decor and really brings the living room to life!
I couldn't be more pleased with the work that Sadie did! She is such a talented artist. I wouldn't have thought about this project until I saw a painting at church that she did during worship one Sunday. It was a beautiful canvas painting of a lion.
We knew when we were in Africa that we wanted to be able to take some of the photos of the birds and create a piece for our living room (I'm slowly turning into a crazy bird lady). But once I saw Sadie's art work I thought this would be perfect.
You see, I'm not that great a photographer. And once I got home I realized that while these birds are beautiful, my photos were not doing it any justice. Sadie, on the other hand, is so talented and she could see my vision and create it.
So this...
turned into this...
And now we couldn't be happier!
