Fun with the Letter "F"

This morning started at 6am when the church bells rang from my phone alarm.  How can this post have "fun" in the title and yet we are talking about 6am on a Saturday morning?

I suppose because that really isn't the point of today's post.  But I must mention that lack of sleep and a diet of grease yesterday left my body out of whack today.  I didn't sleep easily last night because Mr. Kummerow was at the school all night for a fundraiser.  I just don't sleep well by myself.  This morning I had to work a race for Girls on the Run which was really exciting and fun, but cold...and early!

I didn't start my morning off with my usual liter of water and I wasn't hungry at all thanks to my filling dinner.  In fact, it is already 2pm and I have yet to eat a real meal.  Instead, I snacked at the grocery store this morning (gotta love the samples) and ate off the bread plate at Great Harvest, and also sipped this green phenomenon:
That would be a spinach, celery, cucumber, apple, ginger and lemon juice from Healthy Home Market.  A create your own.  It was tasty.  This is my first official green juice ever.  At first it was hard to swallow... literally.  But I got the hang of it.  I felt like this is exactly what my body was screaming for today and it was just $2!  I feel a bit more centered now, but perhaps after my run this afternoon I will be all better!

Now onto the F's!

I took back what he stole from me!

Check out that fun video of all the Women of Worship Ladies!  We had such a beautiful time at the Mountain Retreat!

Sunday- Rest
Monday- Spin class
Tuesday- lift, 3 miles on the dreadmill
Wednesday- Zumba
Thursday- Pilates
Friday- Rest
Saturday- 6 miles (I'm hoping!)

This week I didn't make it into the pool.  I meant to on Wednesday but it stormed all morning.  Instead I tried at a new-to-me class!  Zumba!  I had so much fun.  I am terribly uncoordinated and have no rhythm at all...but I just went with it and had a blast!  It was such an awesome work out but I didn't feel like I was working out at all!  On Friday I meant to lift and run but it just never happened.  It was such a busy day!  Even this morning I considered sneaking into the gym for my last weight lifting sesh for the week but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.  Oh well, $2 into the "charity jar!"  I'm just hoping I can get through my longish run this afternoon!  I'm running with the boys so it could be difficult!

Did I even cook anything this week?  I can't recall!

Grits N Greens was my only recipe this week, but the real star of the kitchen was the Portabella Mushroom Sliders.  There was no recipe, but I really think you oughta make this in your kitchen.  Follow the easy steps in the post and you don't really need a recipe!

The photo of the week belongs to Erin and Ashley!  Great job on your marathon!

This will be a new part of the series where I highlight some of my favorite blog posts from others each week.  This week you get just one.  Because it was just that great.  And because Mr. Kummerow and I have errands to run.

You can't win if you don't play!

Best April Fool's Day prank ever!  Thanks Caitlin for a real Laugh Out Loud moment!

Check back later this weekend for an update on my 2011 goals!  And maybe I will be able to share with you a 6-mile run success.  This will be my longest since the marathon.  Let's not jinx it!
