Still Celebrating

Ok, so I wouldn't call this a celebration!  Treadmill...ahem...Dreadmill!  It was chilly yesterday morning and the idea of running outside made me cold to the bone.  I also had plans to lift with Ashley and Kristen after and I have this weird thing about wearing my running tights into the gym.  It is different when I'm running (I'm so fast no one can get a good look!) but standing still in front of a mirror is another story.  Now let me sidebar here for just a second to let you know that I actually think my running tights are quite hot!  I personally love wearing them, just as I do my "healthy" skinny jeans!  But as a modest woman I try not to show off too much!
However, check out those killer calves baby!  I have no secrets...you'll have to ask my parents for that one.  They came with the package.  They don't fit in many boots unfortunately.  I have just one pair:
We have a new work out for the month of March.  If you have been following along with "Ashley's Army" you will love this new plan.  It is hard!  Each time I have followed these moves I have been so sore!

If you have any questions on proper form for any of these exercises please let me know!

Yesterday was a busy day but I did manage to squeeze in 3 square meals in between the meetings and appointments.
Breakfast was Overnight Oats On My Lap In The Car On The Way To Meeting Number One.  The recipe for that is careful driving!
For lunch I roasted some vegetables while I was on the phone and then scarfed down this plate right before heading out the door to pick up the kids from school (not my own kids if you are just tuning in...the kids I babysit.)  On the plate: roasted bok choy and carrots, broccoli and mushrooms with quinoa and a dab of Trader Joe's White Bean and Basil Hummus.  Mmmm!

You may have noticed how the quality of my photos hasn't been so great lately...I admit I am a new iPhone photo junkie.  It's just too easy.  I apologize.  But I do promise to bust out the real camera for important things like yummy recipes.

Yesterday, after all the busyness in the morning/afternoon, I made time for a birthday massage.  I had a gift card burning a whole in my pocket and I just couldn't wait!  I made an appointment and squeezed it in between babysitting and bible study.  It was well worth the effort!  I feel all loosey goosey and happy!  I am thinking I might even take today off working out just to make the feeling last as long as possible.  Maybe I will just stick to a yoga class.

Mr. Kummerow and I hit the hay early last night.  He is coming down with a cold and I was exhausted from my busy day.  We also had big plans for this morning and needed the rest.  Sometimes for special occasions, and sometimes just for the heck of it we plan a date morning.  These are really the best dates because they feel so spontaneous and a little rebellious.

We woke up at 5am this morning and set out on a mission for hot, fresh bagels.
We look pretty in the morning don't we?!
One pumpernickel with peanut butter and an everything plain.  Usually we top it with avocado but the shop was out.  Instead, we brought it home and shmeared Earth Balance all over it.
Somehow even decaf coffee makes me feel energized in the morning.  For me it must be the flavor not the actual caffeine.
We cozied up on the couch and watched "Life As We Know It" with Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl.  It was cute, but we ran out of time, 7am rolled around quickly.  We will have to finish it tonight.
I just packed Mr. Kummerow's lunch for him and sent him out the door to work.  And now I myself must get to work!  Have a great Wednesday!

  2. I'm so confused... is it a normal thing for you to get up at 5am for bagels and movie watching?! Sounds like fun... minus the 5am part ;)

Decaf wakes me up, too... I think it's just the fact of holding a hot cup and sipping on it... mmm!
