FREE and FREE

What is FREE you ask?

Cooking class with the infamous star of VeganFaith.com.  Yup, yours truly is jumping in the kitchen to give you a chance to check out Vegan/Vegetarian cooking first hand!
On Saturday, January 22 at noon, I will be hosting a free cooking demo at Gourmet on the Run, a wine and kitchen shop located in Morrison Plantation in Mooresville.   I will be cooking for about an hour; all are welcome; pop in and trial some tasty vegan treats!

I first popped into this little shop to purchase a gift for a blogger meet-up and gift exchange.  This is a great little shop that has those perfect items for gifting (hint, hint if you every want to buy me a gift!).  The other great thing I found out about this little shop while I was there for the first time is that they do free wine tastings and put out "nibbles" every Saturday at 2pm!  Luckily it was Saturday at 2pm when I first visited!

Finally, the best thing I found about my very first visit is that the owner is amazing!  Linda Butt and her mother own and operate the little store, hosting cooking classes and helping others learn to master their own kitchens with fun foods and techniques.  Occasionally Linda brings guest chefs on board to teach a class or two and we tossed the idea around of Vegetarian cooking classes.  She was excited and I was super excited, so an idea was born!

I originally got the idea to host a cooking class from my friend Marsha.  She was the first to tell me that I should market my skills in this way.  I laughed off the idea, but quickly realized that I would have a ton of fun cooking for others and teaching them what I have learned.  Gourmet on the Run is the perfect space for me.  It is small, and casual and I'm excited for you to come and hang out with me this Saturday and hopefully learn a few things!

So what else is FREE

Maybe not completely free, but you could certainly get this next item for as low as $2!  I am raising money for SoleMates and to help raise funds I am raffling a pair of shoes from Omega Sports!  Tickets are $2 for one entry, $4 for two entries and $5 for FIVE entries into the raffle.  Purchase your tickets before Friday at noon for your chance to win

If you are just catching up, I finished a marathon this weekend and ran as a SoleMate to help raise money for Girls on the Run in Iredell County.  All the money raised will help scholarship girls into the program.  Your funds can help!  Don't delay, you have just 4 days to donate!  Remember, I ran a whole marathon...but you just need to donate $2!  Thank you in advance for your support!

I am off to enjoy another day in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona!
