Fat Finger

My day started in a fabulous way! Chocolaty-banana oats!
In the bowl:
1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Silk Almond Milk
1/2 cup Silk Almond Milk
1/2 cup quick oats
2 tbsp wheat germ
1/2 mashed banana

Mix in bowl and microwave for 2 minutes. Top with chopped walnuts!  Yummy!

Lunch today was not so spectacular.
Not quite what I had in mind.  This photo looks a little more appealing.
Too bad I had company for lunch.  I actually had to serve this monstrosity!  Ok, to be honest, it was actually pretty flavorful and the Naan turned out ok.  This would have been a meal I would be happy to eat for dinner with just me and the husband.  But not a presentation for guests.  Sorry Chrissy!

Check out this fat finger!
You'll never believe how this happened.  When we were decorating last night, I was pulling an ornament out of its case and it shattered in my hand.  A piece of glass stuck in my finger...a very small piece of glass and we pulled it out.  It bled a little, but not much.  I stuck a bandaid on and was fine.  All day my finger has felt weird, but I don't even remember looking at it until just a couple hours ago.  I finally noticed how swollen it is.  I'm pretty sure there isn't glass stuck in my finger.  It doesn't really hurt, except for the pressure of my skin expanding at an alarming rate!
I now have frozen peas on my finger.  (Not right this minute, since I'm typing, but I will again in just a few seconds when I wrap up this post.)

I'm excited for this weekend.  Lots of fun events happening.  Tomorrow night I am hosting a Pasta Party for all my friends who are running Thunder Road and many friends who aren't but just want to come and support the runners and hang out.  I am very excited.  We just finished shopping for all the ingredients and I can't wait to share my pasta creations with you!

Saturday I will either be running or spectating at Thunder Road.  I haven't decided yet.  And then we have a fun Christmas party with friends.  Every year we do a White Elephant exchange, and it is always very entertaining!

Sunday will be great as always.  Church, football and youth group.  Doesn't get much better than that!

What are your plans this weekend?
