Just for Fun

I found this on another blog, and thought it would be fun for a Sunday post:

1. What is one food you thought you’d miss when you went vegan, but don’t? Pizza. But I don't, because we make our own.  (No Regrets Pizza)

2. What is a food or dish you wouldn’t touch as a child, but enjoy now? Mushrooms, Olives, Stuffed Cabbage.  My taste buds have changed so much since I went vegan!

 

3. What beverage do you consume the most of on any given day? Water.
 

4. What dish are you famous for making or bringing to gatherings? Four bean salad...recipe is not yet on the blog, I must change that.


5. What’s one food or dish you tend to eat too much of when you have it in your home? Baked goods.  I am definitely a carb and sugar lover!
 

6. What ingredient or food is worth spending the extra money to get the good stuff? Organic. Anything organic.
 

7. Are you much of a snacker? What are your favorite snacks? Oh yes! Favorite snacks: peanut butter pretzels, hummus and veggies or crackers, popcorn, trail mix.
 

8. What are your favorite vegan pizza toppings? BBQ Chicken, aka: tempeh and bbq sauce, pineapple and daiya cheese.

9. What is your favorite vegetable? Fruit? Kale and banana

10. What is the best salad dressing? hummus mixed with shoyu

11. What is your favorite thing to put on toasted bread? Peanut butter...duh!

12. What kind of soup do you most often turn to on a chilly day or when you aren’t feeling your best? Lots and lots of vegetables.  Or maybe chili.


13. What is your favorite cupcake flavor? Frosting flavor? Chocolate and chocolate!

14. What is your favorite kind of cookie? Chocolate Chip

15. What is your most-loved weeknight meal? Stir-fry and brown rice.  Easy and quick and wholesome!

16. What is one dish or food you enjoy, but can’t get anyone else in your household to eat? My husband eats everything I make and eat...I'm a lucky woman!
 

17. Favorite non-dairy milk? Almond Breeze Almond Milk, unsweetened original.
 

18. Most disastrous recipe/meal failure? I made this lentil dish once that was a bomb.  Not sure what I did or what happened, but I just remember grudgingly swallowing it.
 

19. If you were stranded on an island and could only bring 3 foods…what would they be (don’t worry about how you’ll cook them)? Peanut butter, banana, and whole wheat bread.  Check out all my traveling posts for proof.

20. Fondest food memory from your childhood? Thanksgivings!

21. Favorite vegan ice cream? Coconut Milk any flavor.

22. Most loved kitchen appliance? food processor, definitely.  Thanks for the new one Dave!

23. Spice/herb you would die without? Chipotle chili powder!

24. Favorite flavor of jam/jelly? Raspberry.

25. Favorite vegan recipe to serve to an omni friend?  Lasagna or pasta.  Filling and satisfying without the meat!
 

26. Seitan, tofu, or tempeh? Tofu.
 

27. Favorite meal to cook? Pasta with tomato-tahini sauce...so easy and filling and yummy!
 

28. Name 3 items in your freezer without looking.  Frozen blueberries, Boca Burgers and Ezekiel Bread.

29. What’s on your grocery list? Quinoa, Almond Milk, Peanut butter, bananas
 

30. Favorite grocery store? Whole Foods

31. Name a recipe you’d love to veganize, but haven’t yet.  Swiss Cake Rolls.  hahaha


32. Food blog you read the most.  Oh She Glows.

33. Favorite vegan candy/chocolate? Mahalo Bar

34. Most extravagant food item purchased lately? Coconut oil.




35. Who is my vegan inspiration? Alicia Silverstone and the Kind Diet.

  1. So far, I have tried out the vegan-gal.com recipes and have had amazing success! I absolutely love the orange pudding, but the chickpea smash is crazy good and I made the nacho bake for everyone at lunch and didn't tell them it was veggie down to the veggie shreds cheese.....ssssshhhhh, don't tell them! I love your blog, btw! Keep it up girl!
